What Sets Us Apart

The five things
that make us different.

What sets Sanctuary Clinics Cozumel apart is not one feature, but a way of bringing clinical care, spiritual support, community, and setting together with unusual clarity. These five matter most. Each one shapes how the program was built and what it feels like in practice.

A Christ-centered community
practicing behavioral health and recovery.

Wherever Christ is, there is truth, light, and love.
The heart of Sanctuary

At Sanctuary, healing and hope are discovered in the context of an authentic, loving, and supportive Christian community. Your care team includes medical oversight, licensed and experienced clinicians and therapists, and spiritual support from people who take both recovery and faith seriously.

The pathway to health and wholeness is not meant to be a solitary trek. The support, encouragement, and accountability of loving relationships matter deeply in recovery. People heal differently when they are no longer carrying the weight alone.

You are not alone.

Cozumel is not incidental to the work
being done here.

The distance from familiar environments and triggers gives many people the kind of reset they have not been able to find at home, and that kind of separation is often an important part of early recovery.

Institutional Setting

What those places ask of the body.

  • Fluorescent lights overhead, hour after hour.
  • Recycled air, climate-controlled and still.
  • The constant hum of mechanical systems.
  • A built environment that was never designed with human nervous systems in mind.
Sanctuary Cozumel

What this island offers instead.

  • Clean air and a coastline you can hear.
  • The sea always near, with trade winds carrying the smell of salt water through the day.
  • A pace of life that institutional settings simply cannot replicate.

Treatment here is still treatment: serious, structured, and clinically grounded. But the place around you can support the work in ways that many conventional settings cannot.

Healing is not a solo journey.
Bring the person who matters most.

A spouse or family member can travel with you to Cozumel and remain close throughout treatment, while also having space for their own restorative experience. That can change the tone of recovery for everyone involved.

They can rest while you do the deeper work.

Attend select sessions when the clinical team believes family involvement would support treatment.

Enjoy the island, and, when helpful, pair their stay with trusted medical or dental care through the broader medical tourism network available in Cozumel.

The road back is often easier
when you do not walk it alone.

For too long, many programs have assumed that patients must leave loved ones behind and only reintegrate later. Sanctuary Cozumel takes a different view: sometimes the presence of someone whose face already feels like home becomes part of what steadies the work.

Clear options. Clear pricing.
No hidden costs.

Sanctuary Clinics Cozumel offers three straightforward levels of care, depending on the depth of treatment needed.

  • Seven-day medically supervised detox, shared room $2,500
  • Seven-day medically supervised detox, private room $4,000
  • Thirty-day residential treatment program, including detox, shared room $4,500
  • Thirty-day residential treatment program, including detox, private room $6,000
  • Three-month residential recovery program, including medical detox, clinical treatment, and a strong discipleship component $13,500

The seven-day detox options are designed for people who need a safe and supervised beginning. The 30-day treatment options are for those ready to move beyond stabilization into therapy, structure, and recovery work. The three-month program is for those who need enough time for detox, deeper clinical recovery, and a strong discipleship process that helps the healing take root over time.

There is no second tier to qualify for, no hidden add-ons, and no confusing pricing maze. The number you are given is the number you pay. That clarity matters when families are already under strain.

We don't stop.
We are family.

Successful outcomes rely on a continuum of care that extends well beyond a person's time in treatment. Aftercare and alumni support help patients begin building a healthier life back home, using the skills and structures they began practicing in Cozumel.

Forever Aftercare is a commitment to ongoing support, guidance, and relationship.
The Sanctuary commitment

Care does not end at discharge. The community built during treatment can continue through alumni contact, family support, and the kind of follow-up that reminds people they are not being left to figure it all out alone.

Held to standards beyond
our own walls.

Sanctuary Clinics Cozumel is committed to standards of clinical and ethical quality that go beyond what any program can merely claim for itself. That kind of accountability matters for families, referring professionals, and anyone trying to discern whether a program is trustworthy.

CARF International — accreditation status pending confirmation

CARF accreditation is one of the clearest signals in behavioral health that an organization is willing to be measured against recognized standards rather than only its own internal language.

It is one more way Sanctuary seeks to remain accountable to the people who trust the program with their healing.

A dedicated accreditations page can carry final status details and directory information once those are confirmed.
