A 3-Step Admissions Process

A unique process to ensure you get
the very best start.

Sanctuary Clinics has created a unique 3-Step Admissions Process to ensure you get the very best start on your journey to healing and recovery. Each step is unhurried, thorough, and built around the simple idea that the people who reach out to us are usually carrying a lot already β€” so we walk every step with you.

From first call to
first morning here.

A clear, structured admissions path β€” evaluation, then a personalized treatment plan, then a coordinated arrival on the island.

01
Step

Evaluation

A comprehensive evaluation over a secure phone or video line with one of our doctors gives our team the chance to understand your needs β€” and gives you the chance to have your questions answered. This initial evaluation takes between an hour and an hour and a half. Upon completion, a packet of admissions documents will be delivered to you: your packing list, what to bring and what not to bring, travel guidance, and the rules of the community. All of which you can DocuSign and email back.

02
Step

Treatment Plan

Based on your comprehensive evaluation, our clinical team will create a tailored treatment plan that addresses your specific needs and goals β€” incorporating evidence-based therapies, personalized medication management, and other complementary approaches. Your plan is in place before day one. No guessing. No one-size-fits-all programs.

03
Step

Travel & Arrival

Once you've reviewed and signed your admissions documents, our team will help you plan your arrival. We'll answer your passport and customs questions, share guidance on direct flight options into Cozumel International (CZM) or the alternate route through CancΓΊn, and arrange transport from the airport directly to our property. You don't navigate this alone.

When you're ready to talk,
we're ready to listen.

The first conversation is honest, unhurried, and free. Whether or not Sanctuary is the right next step, we'll help you think clearly about yours.

A care guide is just a message away.

True healing is realized
in community.

At Sanctuary Clinics, we recognize that true healing and hope are most powerfully realized in the context of loving, authentic Christian community. This is a community that practices mental health and recovery.

Many of our doctors, therapists, and support staff live alongside patients on the property. Your pathway to health and wholeness is not a solitary trek β€” but a shared journey.

A shared journey,
not a solitary trek.

The support, encouragement, and accountability of loving relationships as you focus on healing are of inestimable value to the process.

You're not alone here. That is the heart of how Sanctuary works.

A week with structure,
rhythm, and rest.

Your treatment routine includes 3 individual sessions with your therapist and 10 therapeutic group meetings per week. The schedule breaks down like this.

Care that doesn't stop
when treatment ends.

Successful treatment of substance use disorder, dual diagnosis, or mental health conditions relies on a continuum of care that extends beyond your time on campus.

At Sanctuary, care continues through our Aftercare Services, our Alumni Community, and our Forever Aftercare program β€” which means we don't stop providing support, guidance, and assistance once you complete licensed treatment.

We are family.

The people who love you,
walking the road with you.

We understand the importance of involving family in the healing process. We've built three distinct ways for the people who love you to walk the road alongside you β€” through every season of treatment and after.

Bring a Loved One β€” a spouse or family member can travel with you to Cozumel and stay close throughout treatment.

Weekly Alumni & Family Zoom Calls β€” a standing rhythm of connection for families and alumni, no matter where home is.

Weekend Family Seminars β€” structured time together with our clinical and pastoral team to learn, listen, and heal as a unit.

Family is part of
the healing.

Through Bring a Loved One, Weekly Alumni & Family Zoom Calls, and Weekend Family Seminars, we make sure the people who love you are walking the road with you β€” including the option for a spouse or family member to travel with you to Cozumel and stay close throughout treatment.
